Rooted Resilience: Sustained Support for Four Palestinian Families in Gaza

Every family in Gaza is in crisis in this moment. Constant bombing, brutal siege and total blockade have created a catastrophic situation for families on the ground. The vast majority of the population has been displaced at least once. Some families have returned to the dangerous remains of their destroyed homes, while others have been displaced to tent encampments. It is an understatement to say that food is scarce. When it is available at all, the prices are beyond gouging. At times, even drinking water cannot be found. In the displacement camps, disease is rampant, with children suffering most.
We are a mother and daughter, Joanie and Brittani Manzo, located in the US. We have been working with four Palestinian families in Gaza for several months, and have watched as donations to their individual fundraisers have slowed or even stopped. Our project will create a sustainable fund for these four families, to help them provide basic needs on a regular basis.
We encourage our donors to choose a recurring donation, of any amount, at checkout. This will provide a root system that our families can rely upon. Their needs right now include the absolute basics, like food and water, sanitation, power, healthy living conditions, medical care, and clothing. That all said, one-off donations are always gratefully welcomed as are donations to the families’ individual fundraising campaigns, linked under their introductions, below.
